On Saturday, September 16, Josh Saurman, a freshman from Portsmouth, NH, threw a complete game shutout for the Herons against the CMCC Mustangs in the second game of a doubleheader. Josh finished the game allowing only five hits, one walk and hit a batter on 90 pitches giving Great Bay the 2-0 victory for the day.

The following day, against NHTI, Josh hit a two-run home run in the bottom of the 4th and turned a double play in the top of the 6th that would prove big keeping the game tied going into the 7th inning. The Great Bay Herons finished their five-game, three-day schedule strong ending the weekend 4-1, including the inaugural season's first win against NHTI on Friday, 6-4.
