Lady Herons Fall to Top Seated Paul Smiths College

The Great Bay Women's volleyball team went into Sunday's home game against top seated Paul Smiths College, hoping to remain undefeated on the season. Ashley Tanguay led the team in kills with 12 and Emily Brashear played well both offensively and defensively.  Setter Nikki Flanagan had 5 service aces and finished with 26 assists. The Lady Herons came out very strong taking the first match, winning 25, 12. However, matches 2 and 3 were taken by Paul Smiths College 19-25 and 31-33. It was a hard fought battle for the team but in the end Paul Smith in the deciding 5th game. The Lady Herons are back on the road this weekend with conference games against UMaine Machias, CMCC, Unity and Paul Smiths College.  Photos from Sunday's match can be found online.
