Lady Herons sweep 3 games over weekend, improve to 7-1!

The Great Bay Herons Headed to Maine and had an undefeated run, finishing their  weekend 3-0. The Herons have improved their record to 7-1. The Lady Herons were able to come back from their first season loss on Sunday against Paul Smith. 

Game one on Saturday 9/28 vs. Machias Maine the team had a 3-1 victory. Nikki Flanagan had the most aces of the match serving a total of 6 aces. Ashley Tanguay and Emily Brashear each had 6 kills vs. Machias. Brynn Coleman stepped up as middle blocker and had 2 solo blocks this match. 

Following the Machias game the Herons took on CMCC. They had a sweep against CMCC finishing 3-0. The Lady Herons played an unusual line up but played strong. Nikki Flanagan played as a middle hitter and had 4 kills. Emily Brashear led the team with 6 service aces and 11 assists. 

On Sunday the Lady Herons traveled to Unity College where they defeated the rams 3-1. Nikki Flanagan has a phenomenal game setting with 26 assists and 8 kills. Brynn Coleman has 13 kills and 3 solo blocks. Ashley Tanguay hae 7 kills and 3 solo blocks. Emily Brashear had 6 kills served strong right when the team needed to dig deep. The Herons came together and stepped up to finish the weekend strong.
