Golf team is off to a hot start

The Herons Golf team is off to a great start this season - winning 2 of the first 3 tournaments entered.

The team opened the season with the long trip up to Saranac Lake for a tournament hosted by YSCC school, Paul Smith's College.  The team won in deciding fashion, carding a team score of 325.  Robbie Creteau finished 1st individually, with a score of 76 and Jackson took 2nd with a 77.

The Herons took 2nd at NHTI Invitational at Beaver Meadow.  Weather delays caused the field to only play 9 holes.  Hunter Carignan led the way for the Herons carding a 38, followed by Strayer (39), Cretea (41), Mike Rollick (42) and Arjay Sidney (44).

The Herons used a balanced attack to best the competition at Purpodoock Golf Club, beating SMCC one their home course.  Strayer, Carignan and Creteau led the way all shooting 40.  Casey Pridham (41) and Arjay Sidney (42) rounded out the team for GBCC.

The Herons host NHTI on Thursday, 9/21 at Rochester CC.  2:30pm off the tee.
