Coach Burt enters his 4^th season as the Herons Head Coach for the 2023/24 season.

 Burt was hired in December of 2018 to revamp the program and has taken the Herons to new heights in his tenure to date. He is 44-34 overall with the Herons, where the program is coming off a record-breaking season in 2022/23.

During this season Coach Burt was selected USCAA DII National Coach of the Year as the Herons posted an overall record of 22-9, including an at-large bid to the USCAA DII National Tournament. In the tournament, the #10 Herons defeated both #7 Villa Maria (79-67) and #2 Penn State Mont Alto (75-58), advancing them to the Final Four where they lost to #3 Miami Hamilton (69-61). The Herons were the YSCC Conference Runner-Up as well.

 The Herons have had 4 Academic All-American, 13 Academic All-Conference, 1 All-American, and 2 All-Conference selections throughout Coach Burt’s tenure.

Prior to GBCC, Coach Burt was an Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach at Southern Vermont College for the 2017/18 season. During this season SVC posted a record of 22-6 and won the NECC Conference Championship, earning them an at-large bid to the NCAA DIII National Tournament.

Coach Burt is a 2015 graduate of Plymouth State University where he obtained a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education. He also played basketball, amassing a total of 1,045 career points, and captained the team as a senior. After the conclusion of his collegiate playing career, he went on to play professionally in the United Kingdom and Germany.

He is a 2010 graduate from Dover High School where he was named Mr. New Hampshire Basketball and was a McDonald’s All-American Nominee.
