The Herons headed to Paul Smith's College for playoffs this weekend. Great Bay's first obstacle was to win the first round vs. Unity college. These first sets were no easy feat. This match went all five sets, with the Heron's winning in the fifth 15-11. The Herons pulled through to the championship game. They knew this would be the most important match of the year against a team that gave them the most challenges earlier in the Season. The Herons came our strong winning the first two sets. They struggled throughout the third forcing a fourth set. As the team showed exhaustion they were able to pull through and defeated Paul Smith College 3-1. The win this weekend after a great season can only be contributed to team work and unity. The entire team stepped up in the championship match, making digs, block, and phenomenal plays! It takes true heart and passion to achieve what the Great Bay Volleyball program has this season! Congratulations lady Herons for winning YSCC championships and a tremendous season.
